The Fate of Hungarian Jews:
The Last Surviving Jewish Community in Europe
Presenter: Dr. Judith Fai-Podlipnik

Dr.Judith Fai-Podlipnik is an Associate Professor of History at Southeastern Louisiana University and President of the Southwestern Social Sciences Association. An executive committee member of the Hungarian Studies Association, Dr. Fai-Podlipnik has participated in Holocaust seminars at the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum, Yad Vashem, and at other “Lessons and Legacies” conferences. Next year she will be doing administrative work for the Holocaust Educational Foundation in Skokie, Illinois.
Dr. Fai-Podlipnik received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and History from Tulane University, and her M.A. and Ph.D. in Modern European History from FSU. She has published several articles and book chapters on the post-war émigré experience and the Polish refugees in Hungary during World War II
